Auch wenn sie mich durchschaut haben, bestellen sie immer noch jedes Jahr einen Schauspieler, der den Weihnachtsmann mimt. Es ist jedes Jahr derselbe, auch er hat es inzwischen durchschaut. @ghost_bird I mean, I've been excited about dozens of platforms over the years! They always come with a burst of new relationship energy, and then people realize that social media platforms are, in fact, made of... people. The problem is people.

So many people on mastodon who have never had the opportunity to watch a niche early adopter community they love and enjoy be destroyed as it stops being niche.

Watching their optimism and joy melt into despair in real time over the next 6-12 months will be interesting.

Dem ist nicht so. Um an die in der Tat unverschlüsselten Nachrichten zu kommen, müsste man sehr mühsam auf die Datenbank runter und sich entsprechende Queries bauen.

Wie bei JEDER ANDEREN Software ohne Ende-zu-Ende Verschlüsselung, etwa: Twitter.

Man muss da immer wieder drauf hinweisen, das ist ein schädliches Narrativ.

My advice is that you all become *very* aware of who owns your instance and why.

Get to know your admins—make sure their values align with your own.
