Der Täter von #Paris soll 69 oder 70 Jahre alt sein (unterschiedliche Medienberichte). Er hat drei Menschen getötet. Noch vor ein paar Tagen haben diverse prominente Stimmen in Dtlnd versucht, eine rechtsextreme Terrorgruppe als „ein paar schrullige Opas“ zu verharmlosen.

Ich muss allerdings auch sagen, dass ich das Konzept, durch Design-Entscheidungen für Software Leute zu einem für wünschenswert erklärten Verhalten erziehen zu wollen, befremdlich finde.

Insbesondere, wenn das damit zu tun hat, dass es besser für sie sei.

Ich (Ü30) tue meinen Eltern zu Liebe immer noch so, als würde ich an den Weihnachtsmann glauben. Auch wenn sie mich durchschaut haben, bestellen sie immer noch jedes Jahr einen Schauspieler, der den Weihnachtsmann mimt. Es ist jedes Jahr derselbe, auch er hat es inzwischen durchschaut. Diese ganze Sache ist inzwischen too big too fail, es hängen Arbeitsplätze daran.

We don't have a ransomware problem per se. We have a Bitcoin problem. Any financial system that can electronically transmit $5M ransoms without KYC/AML checks would do. But such a system is only cryptocurrency. Banks would rightly view allowing ransom payment as an exestential threat, while $5M in cash is 50kg, and needs to be picked up in person.
