@eckes Vielleicht zu spät am Abend für mich ... Ich/anyone sehe/sieht doch nur, was er/sie/es subscribed hat (RSS, Accounts auf twitter/fediverse). my.blog != wusel@service, per WP-Plugin linke ich meinen Blog-Content zu meinem Twitter-/Mastodon-Content.
Verstehst Du mein gedankliches Problem?
@eckes Aber woher weiß $User das? Ist ja eher nicht so daß es da eine Entität gäbe, die jedermensch eine perfekte Followerliste erstellte?
@crschmidt I C; as I have some bare metal boxes running as Hypervisors across Europe anyway, it's just another VM for me ;)
By the looks of it, Mastodon/Fediverse feels like a backward timewarp to good ol' Blogosphere ;)

I'm with you on the 6-18 months thingy, but then I'm running my own mailserver (uu.org) for 25+ years, and a public WiFi network for 6+ years, thus I'm a bit optimistic that <at>uu.org will stay in the Fediverse for some decade as well ;-)
@eckes Äh. Ich habe "nach Anleitung" meine eigene Mastodon-Instanz (fed.uu.org) aufgesetzt (mit webfinger von uu.org weitergeleitet), und per $Plugin den WP-Beitrag auch darüber ins Fediverse gepackt. Das scheint zu tun.
Das Blog per Webfinger nach ActivityPub bringen geht wohl, aber honestly verstehe ich noch nicht, was das bringen soll ;)

Like the tl;dr said: we have closed registrations to chaos.social entirely. We'll allow up to 42 new users every day in the foreseeable future.
Explanation: In the past week we've had over 100 (!) new users every day, up from like … 5 before. But more than that, while we only grew from 8.5k to 10k users, we also grew from 2.5k to 5k active users, when many people reactivated their unused accounts.
